Assistant Manager, Facilities Management (Technical)

Hong Kong-Shenzhen Innovation and Technology Park Limited (“HSITP”, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Hong Kong Science & Technology Parks Corporation, is engaged in the planning, building, management, operation and maintenance of the Hong Kong-Shenzhen Innovation & Technology Park at the Lok Ma Chau Loop (“the Loop”).
 
With a site area of 87 hectares, the Loop will be a hub for vigorous technology R&D and collaboration among top-notch international R&D institutions, technology enterprises and talent. The Loop will provide necessary infrastructure, facilities and service support for the innovation and technology (I&T) community; with associated higher education, cultural and creative and other complementary facilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical input — Work closely with project teams to review building materials, services installations, and related systems from a maintenance and operational perspective
  • Manage maintenance programmes — Formulate, coordinate, and implement preventive and corrective maintenance with the technical team to ensure timely actions and minimal disruption
  • Oversee operations and compliance — Develop site procedures, service agreements, and emergency arrangements; liaise with government departments, consultants, and contractors; and ensure tenants’ fit-out applications meet statutory requirements
  • Handle financial and resource planning — Prepare and monitor annual budgets, capital works programmes, and manpower deployment to maintain cost control and operational efficiency
  • Manage service providers — Lead procurement, conduct feasibility studies on outsourcing, and monitor contractor performance to ensure compliance, safety, and service quality
  • Support continuity and incident response — Coordinate emergency handling, contingency planning, and business recovery to safeguard uninterrupted operations


Requirements
:

  • Degree holder in Building Services Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Fire Services Engineering, Facilities Management, or other related disciplines
  • Minimum 6 years’ relevant experience in facilities management, building maintenance, technical operations or property management, with at least 2 years at supervisory or managerial level
  • Experience gained from the property, commercial complex, institutional, innovation and technology park, or sizable facilities environment would be an advantage
  • Good knowledge of building services systems, maintenance practices, statutory requirements, safety standards and contractor management
  • Strong interpersonal, organisational, supervisory and customer service skills
  • A good team player with the ability to work independently and under pressure
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with a proactive and continuous improvement mindset
  • Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese
  • Frequent Travel or Work in Lok Ma Chau Office is required (Shuttle bus service & MTR concession scheme is available)
