Director, Corporate Communications

Hong Kong-Shenzhen Innovation and Technology Park Limited (“HSITP”, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Hong Kong Science & Technology Parks Corporation, is engaged in the planning, building, management, operation and maintenance of the Hong Kong-Shenzhen Innovation & Technology Park at the Lok Ma Chau Loop (“the Loop”).
 
With a site area of 87 hectares, the Loop will be a hub for vigorous technology R&D and collaboration among top-notch international R&D institutions, technology enterprises and talent. The Loop will provide necessary infrastructure, facilities and service support for the innovation and technology (I&T) community; with associated higher education, cultural and creative and other complementary facilities.

Job Purpose
Reporting directly to the CEO, the Director of Corporate Communications will be instrumental in elevating HSITP’s profile across local and international markets. The successful candidate will spearhead a comprehensive communications strategy designed to establish HSITP as a premier global I&T hub. This includes driving brand storytelling, cultivating media and stakeholder relationships, managing strategic campaigns, and ensuring consistent, impactful messaging across all channels.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Communication Planning: Formulate and implement comprehensive communication strategies to support HSITP’s vision, missions, and business objectives
  • Brand Marketing and Content Management: Act as strategic lead to build and promote HSITP brand; Oversee the content creation of communications materials, including annual reports, newsletters, website, and digital content across social media platforms
  • Stakeholder Management & Public Relations: Manage relationships with key stakeholders including media, government officials, community leaders, and key influencers; Handle external communications across all platforms
  • Crisis Resilience & Reputation Management: Lead the development of a robust, enterprise-wide crisis management and rapid-response protocol; Act as a senior spokesperson during critical issues to safeguard corporate reputation
  • Corporate Event Management: Oversee annual corporate event plan and possesses the ability to deliver high quality corporate events to promote the image of the Park
  • Team Leadership & Intelligence: Build and mentor a high-performance communications team; Able to use data to track and improve the effectiveness of communication plans and show their values

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Journalism, Corporate Communications, Public Relations, International Relations, Business Administration, or a related discipline
  • A minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in corporate communications, public affairs, or brand management within large-scale organizations or public bodies, with at least 8 years in a senior leadership role
  • Proven track record of developing and executing transformative communication strategies that have shifted public perception or achieved significant business milestones
  • Exceptional command of English and Chinese (written and oral), with the gravitas to influence senior government officials, C-suite executives, and media leaders
  • Good understanding of the Innovation & Technology landscape, including a sophisticated grasp of GBA (Great Bay Area) policies and international tech trends
  • Strong in storytelling, with the ability to lead creative teams through complex, multi-channel campaigns
  • Demonstrated experience in high-stakes crisis navigation and reputation recovery
  • Frequent Travel or Permanent Work in Lok Ma Chau Office is required (Shuttle bus service & MTR concession scheme is available)
