
Manager, Ecosystem Development (Event Management)
Hong Kong-Shenzhen Innovation and Technology Park Limited (“HSITP”, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Hong Kong Science & Technology Parks Corporation, is engaged in the planning, building, management, operation and maintenance of the Hong Kong-Shenzhen Innovation & Technology Park at the Lok Ma Chau Loop (“the Loop”).
With a site area of 87 hectares, the Loop will be a hub for vigorous technology R&D and collaboration among top-notch international R&D institutions, technology enterprises and talent. The Loop will provide necessary infrastructure, facilities and service support for the innovation and technology (I&T) community; with associated higher education, cultural and creative and other complementary facilities.
Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end event operations, including but not limited to, venue setup, delivery, logistics, coordinating and managing the event organisers.
- Partner with Senior Manager in promoting and encouraging community companies to participate in local/overseas events.
- Advertise events through multiple digital channels.
- Support the team to organise various business or investment matching activities, and recruit community companies for participation.
- Handle the procurement process to ensure strict compliance according to Corporate Procurement Policy.
- Provide on-site support and other administrative support as and when necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of all events and relevant expenditures for budget controlling.
Requirements
- A recognised university degree with at least 8 years of relevant event management, marketing, or account management experience.
- Understanding of Hong Kong’s innovation and technology development, Hong Kong and global start-up ecosystem.
- Previous experience in organizing start-up related events and conferences is an additional advantage.
- A strong team player with excellent organisational and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated and outgoing with good project management ability.
- Creative, flexible, and be able to deliver under time and resources pressure.
- Good communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
- Highly proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua).
- Overseas business travelling is required.
