Manager, Ecosystem Development (Medical Device)
Hong Kong-Shenzhen Innovation and Technology Park Limited (“HSITP”, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Hong Kong Science & Technology Parks Corporation, is engaged in the planning, building, management, operation and maintenance of the Hong Kong-Shenzhen Innovation & Technology Park at the Lok Ma Chau Loop (“the Loop”).
With a site area of 87 hectares, the Loop will be a hub for vigorous technology R&D and collaboration among top-notch international R&D institutions, technology enterprises and talent. The Loop will provide necessary infrastructure, facilities and service support for the innovation and technology (I&T) community; with associated higher education, cultural and creative and other complementary facilities.
The Hong Kong–Shenzhen Innovation and Technology Park (HSITP) is a flagship innovation hub in the Lok Ma Chau Loop, connecting Hong Kong, the Greater Bay Area (GBA) and the world. We are building a dynamic Life & Health Technology ecosystem and are now inviting high-calibre talent to join our team.
This role drives the growth of the medical device, diagnostics, digital health and medtech ecosystem by engaging startups, industry partners, hospitals and universities across Hong Kong, the Greater Bay Area and beyond. The position offers extensive exposure to cross‑boundary innovation and collaboration within a fast‑growing Life & Health Technology hub.
Responsibilities:
- Promote and support the development of the Life & Health Technology ecosystem with a focus on the medical device sector, including diagnostics, digital health and medtech
- Build, grow and manage strategic relationships with companies and partners such as universities, hospitals, CDMOs, CROs, test labs and regulatory bodies to foster collaboration opportunities
- Proactively identify, develop and manage new accounts, and provide account management to support technology startups throughout their growth journey with HSITP
- Facilitate ecosystem companies' access to international testing, clinical, regulatory and market resources, including those in Hong Kong, the GBA, mainland China, Europe and the US
- Support ecosystem companies in leveraging HSITP incubation programmes and ecosystem supports for R&D acceleration, clinical validation and regulatory navigation
- Identify high-potential medtech trends and market opportunities to position HSITP as the leading hub
- Work closely with internal teams to plan, coordinate and execute events, delegations, seminars and promotional activities to strengthen the ecosystem and attract high‑potential companies
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor to support ecosystem development
Requirements:
- University or post‑graduate degree in Life Science, Biomedical Engineering, Healthcare or related disciplines
- Minimum 8 years’ relevant experience in the medical technology / medical device / healthcare industry, of which at least 3–5 years at supervisory level
- Experience with medtech enterprises, startups, innovation and technology parks, CROs, CDMOs, hospitals or regulatory‑related work is an advantage
- Strong sense of responsibility with a customer‑centric mindset, able to understand and support the needs of technology startups and industry partners
- Reliable, proactive, flexible and adaptable to change, with strong problem‑solving and stakeholder management skills
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, able to work effectively with cross‑functional teams and external stakeholders in Hong Kong, the GBA and overseas
- Good command of written and spoken English, Cantonese and Mandarin
- Frequent Travel or Permanent Work in Lok Ma Chau Office is required (Shuttle bus service & MTR concession scheme is available); business travel to mainland China and overseas may be required
