Manager, Ecosystem Development (Startup Success)
Hong Kong-Shenzhen Innovation and Technology Park Limited (“HSITP”, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Hong Kong Science & Technology Parks Corporation, is engaged in the planning, building, management, operation and maintenance of the Hong Kong-Shenzhen Innovation & Technology Park at the Lok Ma Chau Loop (“the Loop”).
With a site area of 87 hectares, the Loop will be a hub for vigorous technology R&D and collaboration among top-notch international R&D institutions, technology enterprises and talent. The Loop will provide necessary infrastructure, facilities and service support for the innovation and technology (I&T) community; with associated higher education, cultural and creative and other complementary facilities.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Ecosystem Development (Entrepreneurship), this role will:
Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary custodian of HSITP's incubation portfolio and central coordinator for all startup nominations and referral requests
- Establish and strengthen engagement with founders and management teams of programme startups and across HSITP start up community to identify success stories and showcase achievements internally and externally
- Prepare regular portfolio intelligence and management reports for identifying emerging trends, high-potential companies, and support requirements
- Translate external opportunities into tangible business outcomes for portfolio companies
- Monitor key performance indicators (including funding raised, pilots secured, commercial contracts signed, team growth, technology development milestones and market expansion progress
- Work closely with Cluster and Strategic Partnership Teams to maximize startup participation and visibility
Requirements:
- Degree holder in Business Administration, Technology Management, Engineering, Innovation & Entrepreneurship or Science-related discipline
- Minimum 8 years of work experience with at least 3-4 years of relevant experience in innovation and technology sector; Experience in incubation / acceleration programmes, venture building, venture capital, corporate innovation or business development is preferred
- Proven ability to translate emerging technologies into viable commercial strategies and identify high-potential investment or market opportunities
- Excellent interpersonal, communication skills and storytelling skills
- Proactive, result-driven and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment
- Good data analytics & reporting skills; Familiar with CRM system for KPI/trend tracking and identification
- Proficient in both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Mandarin)
- Frequent Travel or Permanent Work in Lok Ma Chau Office is required (Shuttle bus service & MTR concession scheme is available)
