Senior Manager, Client Development

Hong Kong-Shenzhen Innovation and Technology Park Limited (“HSITP”, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Hong Kong Science & Technology Parks Corporation, is engaged in the planning, building, management, operation and maintenance of the Hong Kong-Shenzhen Innovation & Technology Park at the Lok Ma Chau Loop (“the Loop”).
 
With a site area of 87 hectares, the Loop will be a hub for vigorous technology R&D and collaboration among top-notch international R&D institutions, technology enterprises and talent. The Loop will provide necessary infrastructure, facilities and service support for the innovation and technology (I&T) community; with associated higher education, cultural and creative and other complementary facilities.

Job Highlights: The role will be responsible for attracting global technology companies and relevant partners to land in HSITP, administering the admission process and due diligence, and to provide best-in-class service to cater to clients’ needs, such as assisting clients in application for government funding.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Solicit interest from technology companies, research institutions, R&D centres, technology investors, incubators, accelerators and other technology ecosystem players globally, especially in microelectronics/semiconductors, life sciences, new energy, new materials, AI and robotics sectors, and land them to HSITP;
  • To serve client needs such as developing new business, collaborating with universities and R&D institutions, talent recruitment, operation matters in HSITP, technology trial at HSITP, and other client needs;
  • To oversee and administer the admission process for tenants, including coordination with different internal and external stakeholders, performing due diligence process, and provide timely response to applicants;
  • To assist clients to apply for or process various government and HSITP funding schemes and offer advice on applying for regulatory approvals relating to innovation and technology sectors;
  • Develop and maintain relationships with governments, science and technology organisations, technology companies, start-up communities, academia and leading institutions to facilitate development and implementation of HSITP initiatives;
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

 

Requirements:

  • University or post-graduate degree preferably in Business, Science, Engineering and related disciplines;
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in real estate, innovation and technology sectors, private equity or venture capital firms, government or public organisations, or technology park operation;
  • Proven track record in business development, experience in investment due diligence and government relations is a plus;
  • Experience on assisting companies to apply for Hong Kong and Mainland government funding and regulatory approvals relating to innovation and technology is a definite advantage;
  • Good understanding on global, GBA and China’s technology landscape, preferably in microelectronics and semiconductors, life sciences, new energy, new materials, AI and robotics, experience working with China is required;
  • Strong business acumen, problem-solving and customer service skills with excellent command of spoken and written English and Chinese (including Putonghua);
  • Self-initiated, attention to details and ability to analyse complex problems and come up with actionable solutions and execute them;
  • Outgoing, proactive, and ability to work with diverse types of stakeholders, strong communication and interpersonal skills.
