
Senior Manager, Corporate Communications
Hong Kong-Shenzhen Innovation and Technology Park Limited (“HSITP”, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Hong Kong Science & Technology Parks Corporation, is engaged in the planning, building, management, operation and maintenance of the Hong Kong-Shenzhen Innovation & Technology Park at the Lok Ma Chau Loop (“the Loop”).
With a site area of 87 hectares, the Loop will be a hub for vigorous technology R&D and collaboration among top-notch international R&D institutions, technology enterprises and talent. The Loop will provide necessary infrastructure, facilities and service support for the innovation and technology (I&T) community; with associated higher education, cultural and creative and other complementary facilities.
Job Description
Reporting to Associate Director, Corporate Communications, this is a strategic leadership role responsible for developing and executing comprehensive communication strategies that enhance the HSITP’s reputation, brand, and stakeholder engagement. This role requires a seasoned professional with exceptional communication and story-telling skills, a deep understanding of corporate messaging, and the ability to manage complex projects in a fast-paced environment. The Senior Manager will lead internal and external resources and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with the HSITP’s vision, mission and goals.
Responsibilities
Strategic Communication Planning:
- Develop and implement integrated corporate communication strategies that align with the Park’s business objectives.
- Craft compelling narratives to support the Park’s brand, values, and strategic initiatives.
- Monitor industry trends and competitor activities for opportunities and risks.
Media Relations & Public Relations:
- Serve as the primary contact for media inquiries; manage relationships with journalists and influencers.
- Develop and distribute press releases, media kits for the Park’s promotion.
- Proactively pitch stories to secure positive coverage.
- Represent the Park, at industry events and forums.
Crisis Communication:
- Develop and maintain a crisis communication plan to protect the Park’s reputation.
Team Leadership:
- Manage cross-team and external resources to achieve project goal.
Content Development:
- Oversee high-quality content creation, including speeches, presentations, articles, and social media posts.
- Collaborate with cross-function teams to formulate story angles and develop key messages for various initiatives to ensure effective delivery of HSITP positioning and messages.
- Identify the social impacts and economic value of inventions and drive end-to-end multimedia content creation.
- Ensure consistency of communications with the Park’s brand voice.
Measurement & Reporting:
- Track and analyze the effectiveness of communication campaigns and initiatives
- Provide regular reports to senior leadership on communication metrics and insights.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, Communications, PR, Marketing, or related disciplines; Master’s Degree preferred.
- Min. 8-10 years relevant communications functions exp. gained in a sizable organization, with at least 3 years in a senior managerial role.
- An innovative communicator and skilled copywriter, excellent in both written & verbal English and Chinese (Proficiency in Putonghua is a strong plus).
- Able to translate technical information into engaging stories for diverse audiences.
- Strong understanding of the Innovation & Technology Industry and related government policies is a plus.
- Strong media relations and crisis management expertise.
- Proficiency in digital communication tools and platforms.
- Strong project management and organization skills.
- Strategic thinker with a proactive results-driven approach.
- High level of professionalism and integrity.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships at all levels.
