Senior Manager, Ecosystem Development (Entrepreneurship)
Hong Kong-Shenzhen Innovation and Technology Park Limited (“HSITP”, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Hong Kong Science & Technology Parks Corporation, is engaged in the planning, building, management, operation and maintenance of the Hong Kong-Shenzhen Innovation & Technology Park at the Lok Ma Chau Loop (“the Loop”).
With a site area of 87 hectares, the Loop will be a hub for vigorous technology R&D and collaboration among top-notch international R&D institutions, technology enterprises and talent. The Loop will provide necessary infrastructure, facilities and service support for the innovation and technology (I&T) community; with associated higher education, cultural and creative and other complementary facilities.
Reporting to Director, Ecosystem Development, the Senior Manager will:
Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning:
- Develop and implement strategic plans for funding initiatives
- Identify and evaluate new funding opportunities aligned with organizational goals to support Hong Kong as an Innovation Hub
- Identify global funding competitions and awards that align with the organization’s mission, enabling tech companies to explore new opportunities
Operation Management:
- Oversee fundraising campaigns and initiatives
- Manage the application process for HSITP funding programs and other funding proposals
- Ensure compliance with all grant requirements and reporting
- Build up a process for application and monitor and report on financial performance of funding initiatives
- Support tech companies in applying for relevant funding and awards competition and provide guidance and resources to enhance their chance of success in securing funding and recognition
- Work with other stakeholders to support and achieve organization’s mission
- Support and promote HSITP funding programs and identify high quality tech companies to participate
Requirements:
- University degree in any discipline with MBA or Master’s preferred
- At least 8 years’ relevant experience in technology ecosystem development and financial industry.
- Proven track record of successful fundraising and grant acquisition
- Strong analytical, organizational, presentation and leadership skills
- Demonstrated understanding of entrepreneurship trends and challenges faced by early-stage technology companies
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to cultivate and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders
- Proficient in both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua)
- Willingness to travel regionally and internationally as needed
- Frequent Travel or station in Lok Ma Chau Office is required
