Senior Manager, Ecosystem Development (Entrepreneurship)

Hong Kong-Shenzhen Innovation and Technology Park Limited (“HSITP”, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Hong Kong Science & Technology Parks Corporation, is engaged in the planning, building, management, operation and maintenance of the Hong Kong-Shenzhen Innovation & Technology Park at the Lok Ma Chau Loop (“the Loop”).
 
With a site area of 87 hectares, the Loop will be a hub for vigorous technology R&D and collaboration among top-notch international R&D institutions, technology enterprises and talent. The Loop will provide necessary infrastructure, facilities and service support for the innovation and technology (I&T) community; with associated higher education, cultural and creative and other complementary facilities.

Reporting to the Director, Ecosystem Development, the Senior Manager will:

Responsibilities:

  • Establish and manage strategic institutional partnerships with University Entrepreneurship Centres, Technology Transfer Offices (TTOs), research institutions, and various student entrepreneurship societies
  • Co-design and implement joint programmes with key partners, including student founder tracks, innovation competitions, and joint incubation or pre-incubation initiatives
  • Take the lead in university landing at HSITP
  • Proactively engage faculty and researchers to channel technology start-ups into the pipeline
  • Manage high-quality and influential engagement events such as roadshows, info sessions, and campus community events to foster a vibrant and engaged community among ecosystem stakeholders in the Park
  • Track and report university pipeline metrics
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor

 

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree or above in any discipline
  • Minimum 10 years of working experience, with at least 8 years of experience in universities, institutions, technology ecosystem development, start-up support or related fields. Prior experience in technology parks or start-up incubator and funding programmes is highly desirable
  • Demonstrated understanding of the start-up ecosystem, university-industry collaboration, investment models and the challenges faced by early-stage technology companies
  • Proven experience in negotiating and partnering with technology providers, government agencies, digital technology firms, and industry associations
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to cultivate and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders
  • Proficient in both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Mandarin)
  • Frequent Travel or Permanent Work in Lok Ma Chau Office is required (Shuttle bus service & MTR concession scheme is available)
