
Senior Manager, Ecosystem Development (Event Management)
Hong Kong-Shenzhen Innovation and Technology Park Limited (“HSITP”, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Hong Kong Science & Technology Parks Corporation, is engaged in the planning, building, management, operation and maintenance of the Hong Kong-Shenzhen Innovation & Technology Park at the Lok Ma Chau Loop (“the Loop”).
With a site area of 87 hectares, the Loop will be a hub for vigorous technology R&D and collaboration among top-notch international R&D institutions, technology enterprises and talent. The Loop will provide necessary infrastructure, facilities and service support for the innovation and technology (I&T) community; with associated higher education, cultural and creative and other complementary facilities.
Responsibilities
- Develop strategic annual event planning, assess potential events and execute comprehensive events in alignment with the Park's and division's goals.
- Establish and maintain close partner relationships with government quangos, and external stakeholders, such as industry associations, event organisers, and the media, among others.
- Promote, recruit, and identify community companies to participate in local/overseas events.
- Lead agreement negotiations, manage budgets, make participation recommendations, and ensure strict compliance with Corporate Procurement Policy.
- Supervise subordinates to ensure successful event launch that aligns with the Park's and division's goals.
- Analyse on event performances, and timely report to manager and management.
Requirements
- A recognised university degree with at least 12 years of relevant event management, marketing, or account management experience.
- Strong interest and expertise knowledge in event / marketing/ partnership management.
- Strong inclination and understanding of Hong Kong’s innovation and technology development, Hong Kong and global start-up ecosystem.
- Experience in organising, marketing, and promoting sizable events. Previous experience in organising start-up-related events and conferences is an added advantage.
- Experience in operation of various government quangos / commercial sectors is preferred.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to develop and maintain relationships with partners and stakeholders.
- Strong leadership skills to supervise and achieve goals.
- Good communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
- Highly proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua).
- Overseas business travelling is required.
