Senior Manager, Ecosystem Development (Strategic Partnership)

Hong Kong-Shenzhen Innovation and Technology Park Limited (“HSITP”, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Hong Kong Science & Technology Parks Corporation, is engaged in the planning, building, management, operation and maintenance of the Hong Kong-Shenzhen Innovation & Technology Park at the Lok Ma Chau Loop (“the Loop”).
 
With a site area of 87 hectares, the Loop will be a hub for vigorous technology R&D and collaboration among top-notch international R&D institutions, technology enterprises and talent. The Loop will provide necessary infrastructure, facilities and service support for the innovation and technology (I&T) community; with associated higher education, cultural and creative and other complementary facilities.

Position Overview:

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing internal processes, monitoring budget, conducting market research, analyzing data and data centralisation, and providing insights to support business decisions and drive organizational growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Internal Process Management: Identify process inefficiencies, develop, implement and monitor internal business processes to enhance operational efficiency, compliance and organizational effectiveness
  • Budget and Expenses Monitoring: Collaborate with team leaders to prepare annual budgets, ensuring accurate forecasting of expenses and revenues. Analyze budget variances and financial reports to identify trends and provide insights for decision-making. Track departmental spending and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual budget reports for management review
  • Market Research: Conduct comprehensive market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscape. Prepare reports summarizing research findings, insights, and recommendations for stakeholders
  • Trend Monitoring and Analysis: Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, economic developments, and regulatory changes that may impact the business / counterparties. Analyze quantitative and qualitative data to draw insights for business strategies and operational improvements
  • Data centralisation: Coordinate cross-functional teams to consolidate all relevant data and information to support the development of an ecosystem strategy
  • Companies and Counterparties Research and Risk Assessment: Conduct thorough investigations into potential counterparties / companies, identify and evaluate potential associated risks e.g. financial stability, reputational risks, operational practices, regulatory compliance issues etc


Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, Finance, Statistics, or other related disciplines
  • Minimum 10 years of work experience, preferably in business and financial analysis, corporate venture, business development, or technology research. Experience in project management or process improvement is an advantage
  • Good knowledge of corporate, accounting, and advisory services. Strong analytical and strategic thinking with the ability to translate raw market and deal data into concise reports, market maps, and executive-ready recommendations. Highly self-motivated and results-driven
  • Strong understanding on technology parks and startup ecosystem, with solid awareness of emerging I&T trends, commercialization pathways, and enterprise adoption dynamics in the Greater Bay Area (GBA), Chinese Mainland, and international markets is preferred
  • Familiarity with data and research platforms, such as PitchBook, Crunchbase or similar and fluency in data analysis tools (Excel advanced, BI tools) — demonstrated by experience using these tools to profile startups, map competitive and technology landscapes etc
  • High proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Mandarin)
  • Frequent Travel or Permanent Work in Lok Ma Chau Office is required (Shuttle bus service & MTR concession scheme is available)
