
Senior Manager, Ecosystems Development (Other Clusters)
Hong Kong-Shenzhen Innovation and Technology Park Limited (“HSITP”, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Hong Kong Science & Technology Parks Corporation, is engaged in the planning, building, management, operation and maintenance of the Hong Kong-Shenzhen Innovation & Technology Park at the Lok Ma Chau Loop (“the Loop”).
With a site area of 87 hectares, the Loop will be a hub for vigorous technology R&D and collaboration among top-notch international R&D institutions, technology enterprises and talent. The Loop will provide necessary infrastructure, facilities and service support for the innovation and technology (I&T) community; with associated higher education, cultural and creative and other complementary facilities.
This position plays a key role in HSITP focusing on the cluster development of the Park's targeted 6 Pillar Industries. This role is responsible for fostering collaboration and driving the growth of the ecosystem within the HSITP.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive ecosystem development strategy for the New Materials, Microelectronics, New Energy and Robotics cluster, aligned with the HSITP's vision and goals
- Lead initiatives to attract and support startups, researchers, and industry players in the sectors to join the HSITP's cluster; Identify opportunities for collaboration and synergies among cluster members
- Establish strategic partnerships with the industries to leverage resources, expertise, to facilitating collaboration among Research, Academic and Enterprise enabling pilot transformation in Hong Kong
- To arrange workshops, and networking activities to foster a strong sense of community within the cluster, facilitating knowledge sharing, collaboration, and innovation among stakeholders
- To attract qualify Tech company and Enterprise landing at the park to have Cluster effect and impact on the development.
- To support tech companies in their development.
- Position the HSITP as a thought leader by organizing conferences, seminars, and thought leadership events; Represent the HSITP in cluster related conferences and industry forums
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in materials science, electronic engineering , energy engineering, business administration, or a related field; A master's degree or higher in a relevant discipline is preferred
- At least 10-12 years of relevant experience in ecosystem development, technology innovation, startups, or related fields; Prior experience in cluster development or managing programs in new materials, micro-electronic or new energy is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of new materials, micro-electronic and new energy technology, trends, and applications; Familiarity with relevant fields such as automation, advanced materials, renewable energy, and energy storage
- Strong business and commercial understanding to identify market opportunities, develop business models, and support startups in their commercialization efforts.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to cultivate and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders
- Proven ability to lead and inspire a team, as well as collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Strong research and analytical skills
- Flexible and adaptable to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
- Excellent command of verbal & written English and Chinese (both Cantonese & Mandarin)
